Private Railways, but not Steam Packets, may be sold back to the Bank Pool during any SR (except the first) for £30 less than the face value of the Company.
They are then available for purchase, subject to the rules of the game, at face value.
A Private Railway may be closed while it is in the Pool by a Tile laid on all or part of its position.
Private Railways still in use are closed on entry to Phase Four.
Once closed, Private Railways take no further part in the game and do not count towards a player's score.
