Bury St Edmunds - 31E

In February 1950 Bury St Edmunds had a sub-shed at Sudbury (Suffolk).
Sudbury closed as a sub-shed 5 January 1959.

Note that according to the June 1957 Railway Observer "It appears to be no longer the policy [of BR] to give transfers between Cambridge (31A) and Bury (31E)..."

It seems to me that the situation between Cambridge and Bury had become similar to that between Stratford and Southend, Hertford East and Bishops Stortford.
In view of this subsequent allocations may contain some errors. I am currently attempting to resolve matters and decide how to proceed.

The allocation is available in two formats:
Firstly in an "Ongoing Allocations" format lists the locomotives allocated on an approximately six monthly basis.
Secondly in an "Allocation Summary" fomat that shows how many locomotives were allocated in a class by class basis.
