The Optional PC rule.

Only Used if so specified at the Game Start.

Private Railways, but not Steam Packets, may be sold back to the Bank Pool during any SR (except the first) for £30 less than the face value of the Company.
They are then available for purchase, subject to the rules of the game, at face value.
A tile may be laid on the hex or hexes covered by a Private Railway that is in the Bank Pool. This action closes the Private Railway.
Private Railways still in use are closed on entry to Phase Four.
Once closed, Private Railways take no further part in the game and do not count towards a player's score.
